- Maintenance light on. Was able to reset. Going by sticker and condition of oil…. still has 2000 before it needs an oil change. Light was probably not reset at last oil change. Which is easy to overlook if light is not on when changing oil.
- On test drive did hear something. After clearing check engine light noise and 2nd test drive… noise was much quieter. Thinking MAY be wheel bearing on RF wheel. Raise car and spin the wheels… with no weight on car, cannot hear anything. Trans does make a wynning noise, but not that unusual in a hybrid. Bottom line, noise is so slight, if it is a wheel bearing… once weight is off the wheels… does not make any noise. There is no looseness OR roughness in either bearing.
- Overall car is great shape for the mileage. Only thing to watch is the rear brakes 90% worn. Tires are 70% worn.
- Test drive and scan computer. Had 2 codes… P1578, C1290 the 1290 has to do with the steering angle sensor. If that thinks the steering is off, will also set the 1578 code. CLeared codes and check steering sensor… working the way it should. Test drive 5 miles… never came back on.
