- Scanned computer code P0442- small EVAP leak. Recommend smoke test to see. About $150 Tighten gas cap and clear code at this time. After talking to customer decided to run a smoke test. Toyota's use a vacuum system vers pressure system. Found bad vacuum line at engine, also noticed a fuel stain on the fuel tank but did not see any smoke or leakage. If light continues may have to drop tank to get a better look at what is going happening on top of the tank. Also more pressing is the leakage at the rear diff (see photo). Rear housing is rusted and seeping gear lube.
